What is Truth and what is Untruth

“What is truth?” the answer of this question can be given as its definition “that which is true or in accordance with fact or reality”. Now the question arises which or what is true or what is reality. First, I discuss about “true or reality”. Everyone has his own perception towards surroundings, happenings and things. One phenomenon is true or right for one person, but the same phenomenon is untrue or wrong for another one. It depends on one’s understanding level.  So it is difficult to decide, “What is truth” according to people saying. Suppose there is a function in your friend’s home and you are ignored by him/her. By this you are disturbed and for you the truth is, your friend’s behavior is not good or friend has no hospitality etc.. You can understand reality only when you will tangle in the same situation or someone explain you the truth. In the first case you depend on time and in the second case you are depending on someone else (one’s understanding level) to get the truth.
Every person has latent power to know about truth. To open the secret of truth, of everything, is developing your understanding level or conscious level up to higher conscious level. Our highest conscious level always indicates us about truth and the right way. But we are not aware about it. There are many obstacles which hinder the connections between two levels. The main obstacles are prejudice, impressions, ego, endless desires and the rest are by products of them (stress, depression etc.). So we need some help to get this.
The level of consciousness  does not depend on worldly knowledge, it’s depend on our inner connection of mind with the heart.  There is a phenomenon  in physics – photoelectric effect in which, when the light (made up of photons) falls on metal (some certain), electrons emit from metal. Emission of electrons depends on the energy of  photons  not on the number of photons. Just like this happen our-self,   higher worldly knowledge, number of degrees does not help to reveal the truth. The energy which we need for connection of mind with heart to reveal the “TRUTH” is given by meditation.

TRUTH OF LIFE

Now days the goal of human life is only to achieve the greatest possible comfort and prominence in the world. If they achieve it, they think their life is successful, otherwise not. You generally find yourselves surrounded with pain and misery and you think that deliverance from them is our main goal. But all of you know when one problem is solved another is ready to be solved as life is a manifestation of mysteries. In mysteries there can be miseries as well as happiness. So there is no way of deliverance of sorrows. Then what should be the goal of human life. I think goal should be to become perfect. Perfection in spiritual as well as materialistic aspect. Spiritual aspect gives you strength to accept the miseries cheerfully and solve them easily because when you are in joyful mood your mind is in balance condition and you think correct and do the right work at every situation. This can be understandable by an example -  a normal person lifts 20 Kg bar with difficulty, but when he exercise and eat healthy, developed strength, he can lift 20 Kg bar very easily and cheerfully. The method to strengthen spiritual aspect is meditation. Through meditation your consciousness grows to high levels and you can understand the reality hidden behind every misery and circumstance. Now you can understand why to meditate. You can learn to meditate through www.heartfulness.org. Do practical on yourself, feel what you receive and observe the changes in yourself and then accept the truth.
To achieve goals in less time, it’s necessary to focus on the goal. Take an example of a river; if the river is subdivided in many canals, the water flow is very less in the main river and time to reach a destination become very long. The same happens in your life, if your consciousness has set the goal, you can achieve the goal in very less time. But if your mind is diverted in many goals, then it is very hard to reach at your real goal. The art of leading such a life in which your consciousness has set of goal as well as your work of physical life is performed more efficiently can be gained through Heartfulness meditation.

Secrets of How to Lead A Stress Free Life

In our daily life everybody undergoes with stress, no matter age of the person. Stress is not a disease, but if it is out of your control it may cause of many serious diseases such as depression. Thus the root of depression is stress. The key to become a winner over stress is right attitude towards all things your surroundings.

What is stress?
Nervous system of our body is said to be master system of our body, which control whole activities of our body. The mind is the most powerful part of the nervous system. Mind work with full potential when it is in a balanced or in calm states, so our body is working with full potential. When this balanced is disturbed by any reason a stress or strain developed in our nervous system.
When I see infants, their mental state seems as balanced and calm. Whenever they need anything they give a signal which is known as a cry. They have no tension or strain on mind because they are fully depending on their parents for their needs. When they grow up two or three years, see things around them, attracted towards and they want those. If they don’t get their mental level disturbed from calm state and very starting level of stress begin. They grow with more burdens, which are imposed by society for more marks obtained, more extra co-curricular activities, more expectations. Their equilibrium of mind (whose natural tendency has been in calm state) is disturbed and level of stress is increased. Now they become adults with many goals, wishes and expectations of others which they have to full fill. A bomb of stress remains in their mind, whose intensity increased with failures of achievements.
When I ponder on why nobody gets rid of stress, a number of reasons appear in front of my eyes.
Ø  When you make a plan about anything, suppose you do your level best and plan does not execute according you. There are rising two situations, one thinks positively and go forward with new plans. Another one is sticking with previous and upset all environments. Your stickiness or attachment with that becomes reason of a rise of stress. Now I think what stops me to detach, it is my ego, which only be reduced only by my effort and by changing by attitude.

Ø  When conversation with any person is not according your satisfaction level, such as differences in opinion on any topic, misunderstanding, anyone tries to cheat and quarrel. In this case you need to introspect yourself, find out if you are wrong, then correct yourself. If you find fault in others, then it’s very difficult to change others, so ignore them don’t put garbage of anger and negative talks in your mind accepts them as they are. If they are harmful to you then separates yourself from them. Regarding this, I want to tell you an instance-
Once there is a student named Rahul who always remains in disturbed state and angry. By luck a generous professor is in his college. He noticed Rahul and called him in his cabin. The Professor asked him the reason of his disturbance. Rahul replied –“Sir, all people are selfish, they cheat one another. No one is reliable. No one has manners. Most students badly behave to me. I feel lots of anger to see them.  ”. The Professor said –“Rahul I understood your problem. I can solve your problem, if you like.” Rahul-“Sir I obey you. I want to get rid of this.” Professor-“keep one bag always with you. When you return home, take potatoes write the name of the person who spoiled your mood on potato. Write one name on one potato. Put potatoes in bag. Meet me after one month. ” Rahul- “Sir, I will do this.” Professor- “Remember Rahul always keep the bag with yourself.” Rahul started what his professor said. He came to professor after 15 days and said-“Sir, my bag becomes too heavy to carry it all the time and it smells so badly. I cannot do this task more. ” Professor-“Rahul, you see. If weight of anything becomes heavy, it is very difficult to hold it. Like this if you remember all wrong saying or wrong doing of people all the time, then heaviness of all negative thoughts increase gradually and your mind is unable to handle it. The result is stress and unhappiness is generated. As potatoes are spoiled for kept long time and smell so badly.  The bad smell of your kept thoughts is hate and prejudice for others. This increases your stress and always seems unhappy and disturbed. So you should develop the quality of forgive and then you are able to forget.” Rahul- “Sir, I agree with your saying, but for me it is very difficult to forgive.” Professor –“everyone is bound with his tendencies whatever those are good or bad. You feel pity for them as they are slaves of their worst tendencies. It makes easy for you to forgive. ”

Ø  Nowadays, the tendency of showing what you are not, are increasing. You may think how this can be the reason of stress. Suppose you want to see Zee TV on your television, but the frequency of signal which is transmitted doesn’t match the frequency of the channel on your television, then what you see- disturbance. In the same way when your actions and speech is not same with your originality a strain defiantly takes place in your mind.

Ø  Everyone has unique life which can be similar to other in some aspects, but as a whole, it is unique. So caliber, health and wealth of individuals are unique. If you forcefully copy to others this may also create stress. A very common example- your friend has iPhone 6. You want it but your pocket is not allowed. You know very well your situation, but still you want and you think about this continually, how I manage. You are not able to pay your full attention on your daily routine. This increase burden on your mind and become reason of stress.

Ø  The most powerful thing in the universe is thought. Thoughts of people create the environment of the place. All of you feel this when you go to any pious place you feel good. Even in the mountains or the sea beaches where very few people come, you feel peace because there is a very low quantity of thought pollution. So it is necessary, to have positive and right thoughts, then you create a peaceful environment which is necessary to lead a stress free life. Separate you from negative thoughts, environment is also necessary.

Ø  You all agree that everyone should work hard to fulfill one’s needs. When one achieves one’s need yet he runs after more, ignoring his essential responsibilities towards himself and his near ones, then this leads also stress. If you run after more you have to spend more time for work, maybe you spare  more time for work by reducing your sleep or give no time for retreat yourself or give no time for dear ones. This disturbs your mental as well as physical health and more work done with poor health misbalance your mental state.

Ø  Sometimes such situations arise that you start scare from the future. The main thoughts arise in your mind are- if this will happen or if he /she will do this or if he/she comes what will he say etc. you remain in tension. You can’t control your future, but you can prepare yourself for future rather than imbue yourself in useless thoughts.

All of us understand all these points, but practically it seems difficult to achieve this balance of mind. Balance of mind is possible when there is strong coordination between mind and heart. Let take an example of pendulum, if it hangs with a weak string, it’s very easy to set in motion and will take long time to come into equilibrium or balance state. If it hangs with strong string, it is not easily set in motion and if motion start, it will quickly come into equilibrium state.  In this example pendulum is compared to the brain, support by which it hangs is compared to heart and string is compared to coordination between two of that. This strong coordination is done by meditation. Hence the balance of mind can be achieved by meditation. Once this achieved right attitude automatically develops and you can lead stress free life. So we should learn to meditate.
“It is our own mental attitude which makes the world what it is for us. Our thought make things beautiful, our thoughts make things ugly. The whole world is in our own minds. Learn to see things in the proper light. First, believe in this world, that there is meaning behind everything. Everything in the world is good, is holy and beautiful. If you see something evil, think that you do not understand it in the right light. Throw the burden on yourselves!”

Should We Meditate Every Day?

Should We Meditate Every Day?

The inner requirement of every human being remains in peace. Nowadays life routine is such that, everyone suffers with different levels of stress. The main reason of stress is- you lead your life in unbalancing manner. You always work to satisfy your five senses, but forget the requirements of mind and heart. The mind is generally full with enormous thoughts, in which some are useful and others are useless. You are unable to regulate them, this leads to confusion and stress. To regulate mind the synchronization between mind and heart is necessary which help, to lead with useful thoughts and help to ignore useless thoughts. This can be achieved by meditation. By meditation your discrimination power is increased, you are able to discriminate between wrong and right and your will power becomes so strong, you act in the right direction. When such attitude is developed you successfully manage your life. You can easily manage your time and relations become more true and strong. The vital values are must to be a human being; these are love, humility, empathy and kindness. You all see nowadays vital values disappear from human being; in fact, they are hidden due to our negativity. So, with the help of meditation, values which are present in our heart beginning to explore in our behavior and attitude. In 1993 a group of meditators did meditation regularly for two months, there was a reduction in violence and crime in Washington, DC. As many times such experiments are done and positive results are obtained. An environment around human being who meditate regularly, become pure and light. So you see that by meditation we can feel inner peace as well as gradually develop outer peace. As the number of meditators increase as the environment becomes more pure and positive. Regarding this, I want to share about 100 monkeys effect with you- In 1952, on the island of Koshima, scientists were providing monkeys with sweet potatoes dropped in the sand. The monkey liked the taste of the raw sweet potatoes, but they found the dirt unpleasant. An 18-month-old female named Imo found she could solve the problem by washing the potatoes in a nearby stream. She taught this trick to her mother. Her playmates also learned this new way and they taught their mothers too, gradually this trick was learned by 99 monkeys. As soon as the 100th monkey learned this trick, a most surprising thing observed by these scientists was that the habit of washing sweet potatoes, then jumped over the sea...Colonies of monkeys on other islands and the mainland troop of monkeys at Takasakiyama began washing their sweet potatoes. Thus, when a certain critical number achieves awareness, this new awareness may be communicated from mind to mind.
By meditation working capacity of mind is increased. Research suggests that a regular meditation practice can cause beneficial structural changes in the brain that result increase in mental performance (alertness, memory, learning ability, planning, decision making and judgment) and in emotional intelligence.
Thus, everyone should meditate every day for oneself and for others. To learn to meditate you can visit www.heartfulness.org.

Buddha was asked,
“What have you gained
from meditation?”
He replied,”Nothing! However.
Budha said, let me tell you
what I lost : Anger, Anexity,
Depression, Insecurity, Fear of old age and death.”

How Meditation Helps In Detoxification

Nowadays human body is affected greatly by toxins. We are surrounded by different kinds of toxins- in the air, in food, in water, in everything. The process hatthat removes toxic substances from the body is known as detoxification which is naturally done by liver, kidney, intestine and skin. By taking healthy diet and exercise, we can enhance the process of detoxification of internal organs. Stress is a deterrent to good health as when you are in stress your body secretes such hormones, which slows down the process of detoxification of internal organs.

Stress is developed when one’s mind is unbalanced. The natural virtue of the mind is, to remain in a calm state, but it continues its work i.e. thinking. In a day, approximately 60,000 thoughts come in a human mind. These thoughts may be positive or negative depends on your attitude. Negative thoughts create stress in one’s mind by destroying one’s calm state of mind. If negative thoughts are great in number, level of stress is high. In any circumstance both types of thoughts arise in your mind, if you proceed with negative thoughts, the result will also be negative. Suppose one of your friends suffers with some problem and you don’t know about this. One day friend behaves badly with you. Thoughts arise in your mind. If you are carried out by negative thoughts, you behave accordingly; your friendship may be in danger. This will lead to stress in your life. If you have positive thoughts and ignore negative thoughts, you are able to go deep into the matter and your bond with your friend becomes stronger which leads to happiness in your life. So you see the power of thoughts. Thoughts lead our life.  To detoxify our body, it is necessary to detoxify our mind from negative thoughts. We can’t stop thoughts forcefully, this process arises more stress, just like river water in the dam. But we can regulate our mind; we can convert negative thoughts into positive thoughts. Suppose a thought comes to your mind- how corrupt people are (negative). This thought can be ended like, but people are changing and gradually they develop correct thinking, right understanding (positive). This type of attitude can be developed by increasing your awareness toward your inner self.  Awareness toward the inner self can be developed by connecting yourself with the power of life which is present in your heart. Now the question arises, how this is possible. This is possible by meditating on your heart. Success is achieved when the procedure is right. To learn to meditate you can visit www.heartfulness.org.
“Everything comes first into the mind and then into the active world. So we must train our self not to have thoughts about sickness, about illness, about meanness. That is why it is important that you think well of all. If you think so- and-so is bad and nasty, that person will be bad and nasty, at least to you. So everything in the world happens from our thought. Thoughts lead to action. Therefore moral laws says, purify your thoughts.”
